Oral and Maxillofacial surgery is a specialty in dentistry that requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training. Four years of dental school are required prior to entering a residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. In 1981, Dr. Zager became an oral and maxillofacial surgeon having completed his training at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He has been caring for a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. He practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from bone and gum grafting for implants to corrective jaw surgery and wisdom tooth removal. He also can diagnose and treat facial pain, evaluate and biopsy tumors, cysts and suspicious lesions of the head and neck area, treat facial injuries and TMJ disorders, and perform a full range of dental implant procedures.

Whether the patient is a small child or someone in their 90’s… the office can handle and treat people from diverse backgrounds and ages representing all of Chicagoland!

Our staff is experienced, warm and caring! Additionally, all of our staff is well-versed in health and insurance policies. Whether you have questions about your procedure or your insurance forms, we are here to help you.

Dr. Zager's staff is committed to treating you to the best care possible. They are trained in the use of I.V. sedation, general anesthesia and nitrous-oxide anesthesics within a private office setting. We work closely with your general dentist and physician to obtain a wonderful result. As our patient, you are continuously monitored during and after surgery. Our facility has access to a pharmacy, in-house conebeam scanner all within the building. Millenium Park, the Cultural Center, Borders, Starbucks and Macy's are all across the street. The CTA, Metra and private parking garages are all nearby.
